Outdoor swap area (tailgate section)

Registration Form and  Outdoor Swap Rules

Back again due to last years overwhelming response, we will have an outdoor swap area! Many of last years vendors where very happy with the response. Many sellers didn't return on Sunday not because business was bad but because they ran out of things to sell!

If you're a dealer you may want to consider having tables indoors for your regular items and a spot or two outside for your clearance items. Some folks love to dig through the piles for "gems"! Don't miss out, get your spot in the outdoor swap!

Outdoor spaces are a flat rate of $25 per spot if purchased before 1/1/2006 and $35 each if purchased on or after 1/1/2006. Outdoor swap spots DO NOT include entrance tickets. Each person that comes through the door with you MUST have their own entrance ticket. Entrance tickets can be ordered with your outdoor swap spots or purchased at the door day of show. Each space is the size of a parking space big enough to accommodate a full-size pickup truck. You can park your vehicle there and sell from it or you can unload in your spot and then move your vehicle away from the sales area. Space is limited and this area will be very popular. There is no rain date for this event. Just like at any outdoor swap area, the weather is a risk. Being that we are in South Florida, if rain does come its usually short lived. There will be no refunds due to bad weather.

Vendors will be expected to purchase whatever number of spaces they occupy. If your vehicle and your stuff occupies 2 spaces, you will need to buy 2 spaces. The fee is based on how much space you take up in the outdoor swap area, not what you use it for.

WiFi INTERNET ACCESS IS AVAILABLE FREE OF CHARGE THROUGHOUT THE GROUNDS.

Unattended vehicles/items may be left in outdoor swap area overnight but it is solely at the risk of the owner. Neither the fair grounds or the Hamboree will not be responsible for theft/accident/vandalism/acts of god. NO CAMPING IN THE OUTDOOR SWAP AREA. You are welcome to camp in the campsite area. Please see the camping area of the website for more info.

TENTS or CANOPIES are not allowed. This is not our rule, its the county park services rule. Food or drinks cannot be sold on the fairgrounds except by the in-house concession stands. There is no power in the outdoor swap area and generators are not permitted unless they are built into an RV.

All vendors are required to abide by the Hamboree rules. You will receive a copy with your vendor packets and you will be required to sign off that you have received them. A copy of the Hamboree rules will be available on this site.

A note to our vendors....

We ask that vendors refrain from packing up early on Sunday. We have gone to great lengths to advertise our show to technical minded folks not only within the amateur radio community but also to robotic hobbyist, computer hobbyist, and electronic hobbyist in general. If you must leave early we ask that you don't start packing till at least after lunch time. Put yourself in the newcomers shoes, you walk in to a show at 11am on Sunday and half the people are packing up. Would you come back? Amateur radio operators may be used to being early birds on a Sunday but the rest of the tech community really is not. Let's try expand our horizons and our customer base at the same time!
